Course Overview:
This course will familiarize the student with the definition of a Nevada Veterans Advocate (NVA) and Veterans Service Officer (VSO); the roles, responsibilities and ethics of being an NVA or VSO; the required training necessary to become a certified NVA or VSO; and how to register on NVAPPS to access the NVA and VSO training courses.
Learning Objective: Upon completing this course the student will be able to:
- Summarize the definition of a Nevada Veterans Advocate (NVA) and Veterans Service Officer (VSO).
- Define the roles, responsibilities and ethics of an NVA and VSO.
- Describe how an NVA can help a VSO in assisting soldiers, veterans and dependents.
- Explain how to register at NVAPPS and become an NVA and/or VSO.
Minimum passing score: 15 question multiple choice quiz 70% on the final quiz
