If your agency receives Federal grant funds and you are responsible for completing or reviewing the Single Audit Reporting Forms (SARFs) which your agency submits, this class addresses that process. This overview of the SARFs and their relationship to the State's Single Audit includes the current fiscal year form and instructions. This course is available to current State of Nevada employees only.

The State Accounting Policies & Procedures class covers topics about the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), governmental accounting terminology specific to the State, fiscal year closing time-lines, dual fiscal years, debt collections and accounts receivables, resources available from the Controller's office, useful forms for all State agencies, the Controller's Office Policies and Procedures Manual, Budget Status Reports (BSR), Chart of Accounts general ledger coding, capital assets and inventories, Federal grant reporting, Advantage tables and checklists, journal vouchers and more. Note: This is not an Advantage or DAWN class, although certain items will be viewed in these programs so a basic knowledge of these programs is recommended but not required.
