Assembly Bill 192 of the 2017 State of Nevada Legislative Session added the following requirement to Nevada Revised Statute (NRS) 284.327.
"Each appointing authority shall ensure that there is at least one person on the staff of the appointing authority who has training concerning:
(a) Making a temporary limited appointment of a certified person with a disability pursuant to this section; and
(b) The unique challenges a person with a disability faces in the workplace."
This class was designed to provide the mandated 700-Hour program and disability awareness training.

Course Overview
This course is designed to teach individual department and agency staff of the main HR service offered in NVAPPS. Additionally, information will be provided about the mission & services of the Division of Human Resource Management generally, and the Recruitment & Retention section specifically.
The targeted audience for this learning experience is department and agency staff who either (A) request staffing & recruitment services for classified positions from the Division of Human Resource Management; or (B) those who utilize certified hiring lists to contact and interview job candidates in order to fill classified positions. The learners will be shown how to utilize the NVAPPS system so they can create & handle the system objects & transactions necessary to fill classified positions.

Upon completing this course you will be able to:
- Understand how DHRM and the NVAPPS system supports the State's hiring process.
- Find and then create a Staffing Requisition in NVAPPS.
- Utilize an online Certified List in NVAPPS.

This course is an overview of the Position Documentation features in NEATS. This variant of the course is intended for any state employee.
The content will provide an overview of the new features along with a video demonstration and simulation tasks for the student to complete. Topics will include an overview of the changes to NEATS and how to acknowledge completed Work Performance Standards online. The course is expected to take the user less than 30 minutes to complete.

This course is an overview of the Position Documentation features in NEATS. This variant of the course is intended for Human Resources staff who will have the NEATS security role of Agency HR PACT Approver, Central HR PACT Approver, or Class Analyst.
The content will provide an overview of the new features along with a video demonstration and simulation tasks for the student to complete. Topics include creating position documentation, activating the documentation, creating new versions, NPD-19 reclassification requests and more. The course is expected to take the user at least 2 hours to complete.

Course Description: This course is designed to teach Human Resource Professionals how to use the Applicant Tracking module in NEATS, otherwise known as NVAPPS. This course will not only explain how to use the software to accomplish the related HR functions, but it will also explore how the system fits into the larger purpose and function of the Division of Human Resource Management for the State of Nevada.
Objectives: To provide an online training and support resource for Human Resource Professionals for our recruitment system, NVAPPS. After taking the course, students should feel comfortable using the NVAPPS software to complete basic and advanced tasks for recruiting processes.
