Any employee responsible for managing personal property/fixed assets will benefit from this course.  During this course you will learn and understand:

  1.  Fixed Asset process in Advantage
  2.  Importance of Location Codes
  3.  Fixed Asset Types

This course will also discuss and process: 

  • Acquiring (FA) documents
  • Changing (FC) documents
  • Update inventory (FADU)

We will also view tables related to property management

During this course you will learn and understand the purchasing process in Advantage, the approval process of workflow for requisitions, table navigation for Purchasing and complete RXQ (requisition) and RC (receiver) documents.

Course Overview

Any employee responsible for purchases for their agency will benefit from this course.

During this course we will cover:

  1. The regulations and procedures of the commodity and services purchasing process for the State of Nevada.
  2. What the Purchasing Division does and and how Purchasing can assist State agencies;
  3. Property management for an agency's fixed assets; and
  4. Outline the service contracting procurement process.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  1. Explain the basic procurement rules and regulations of the State of Nevada as they relate to:
    • Commodity Purchases
    • General Service Contract Rules; and
    • Property Management Requirements and Responsibilities.
  2. Identify Statewide Contracts (SWCs) available through the Purchasing Division.
  3. Locate information and resources to help an agecny acquire purchases on behalf of the State.
  4. Explain common terms associated with the State of Nevada purchasing, contracting and property management processes.
