Program Overview:
The Nevada Information Security Professional (NISP) certification is required for all positions within the State classified as Information Security Officers (ISO). The NISP training program is designed for Information Technology/Security professionals; however, those individuals who wish to seek NISP certification are welcome to participate in the training with the following condition:
All non-ISOs and all non-State employees participating in this program are directly responsible to ensure proper authorization from their management prior to utilizing State resources.
Information Security Officers are required to pass each NISP training course with a score of 70% or better. There are a total of 10 NISP training courses, one for each of the 10 Security Domains, and within each course are several lessons.
Save an electronic copy of your course completion certificates for each of the 10 NISP courses, for your own records.
