Course Overview

Each farm bulk tank pickup driver who picks up or delivers milk in the State of Nevada, whether full-time, part-time or a relief driver, must be licensed.

A bulk milk hauler shall not collect milk from any dairy farm for delivery to a milk plant, receiving station or transfer station unless the farm holds a valid permit from the Nevada Department of Agriculture.

 A bulk milk hauler/sampler’s license can be revoked or suspended for manipulating measurements or weights, falsifying samples, or having improper sampling technique.

Learning Objectives

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:  

  1. Explain the Universal Sampling Method.
  2. Describe the required steps to collect, sample, hold and deliver milk from the dairy farm to the milk plant.
  3. Recognize the procautions that must be taken to ensure milk is properly handled and stored.
  4. Complete the on-site required review to receive a dairy hauler license in the State of Nevada.

Minimum Passing Score:

A post-test grade of >75% is required to pass this course.

This course will provide basic overview of the Application Renewal Process. Includes online resources, what forms to download and what needs to be submitted to the Food and Nutrition Division.  We will describe each document and go over who must submit what and when, and go over what is new for this year.

The CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) is a USDA Federally funded program that provides meal reimbursement for serving nutritious meals and snacks to eligible participants in child care centers, day care homes, Head Start programs, afterschool programs, emergency homeless shelters and adult day care centers.

Title 7, Part 226 of the Code of Federal Regulations (7 CFR 226) controls the operation of the CACFP. 

This training covers information pertaining to At-Risk Afterschool programs.

    1. Explain the 7 CFR 226 Regulations applicable to At-Risk Afterschool CACFPs.
    2. Administer the CACFP while being compliant with the regulatory requirements.
    3. Explain the CACFP regulatory requirements including: eligibility requirements, the new site application process, meal reimbursement, recordkeeping, monitoring, civil rights, integrity standards, serious deficiency process, and staff training requirements.

This course was developed for teachers, parents, food service workers, nurses, registered dietitians, and the general public to provide basic nutrition and physical activity information on best practices for improving dietary and physical activity behaviors for students. Continuing Education Credits are available for Registered Dietitian's and Nevada Teachers who complete this course.
