Classes you must take as a State of Nevada Employee

Session Overview:

NRS 281.661 requires that within 30 days after commencing employment and annually a summary of the provisions of existing law, concerning the whistleblower protections (e.g., NRS 281.611 to 281.671) including actions a hearing officer is authorized to take if the hearing officer determines that reprisal or retaliatory action was taken, be made available to each state officer or employee.  Completion of this session will satisfy this requirement.

Course Overview

Sexual harassment is a form of discrimination; it is against the law and has no place in the workplace. This course is mandatory for all State of Nevada employees in accordance with NAC 284.496.

Learning Objectives

Upon completing this course:

  1. You will gain an understanding of the State of Nevada’s Sexual Harassment and Discrimination policies & regulations.
  2. Learn your rights and responsibilities to ensure the State of Nevada’s work environment is free of sexual harassment and discrimination.
  3. Gain an understanding on how to respect the sensitivities of others by developing an appreciation for a diverse workforce.

 

Minimum Passing Score: 70% on the Final Exam

Credit Hours: 1.0
