Brief Course Description: This course will discuss concepts relating to the basic operational theory and practical training to safely and effectively operate the TASER Conducted Electrical Weapons (CEWs).
This online course must be used in conjunction with the in-classroom manipulation drills, firing of two-cartridges per person, etc. as outlined in the TASER training requirements and guidelines.
** Completion of this course is considered your acknowledgement of understanding the material.
Course Requirements: This course is for SWORN DPS employees that have been previously issued a Taser. This course is for 2019 Re-cert only and is used in conjunction with Day 2 of Block Training 2019. This course must be completed within 30 days of your attendance in Block Training.
Minimum Passing Score: There is No exam.
Credit Hours: 1 hour. Does NOT count toward 12- hour POST requirement.
