Overview: This course is designed to provide guidance to ADSD workforce members regarding the requirement to make all reasonable modifications ensuring people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all of its programs, services, and activities.
You will be able to:
1. Understand the various definitions associate with the ADA and applicability to your job duties.
2. Understand the internal and external accessibility requirements of the ADA.
3. Understand how to assist people who require auxiliary aids or services for effective communication.
4. Gain information on the technical requirements of the ADA, accessibility of our internet site and ectronic information.
5. Understand that there is a grievance process for complaints to mitigate ADA compliance issues.
Who is required to take this training: This training is required for all staff one time only unless otherwise directed.
