Course Overview
The Division has the responsibility to serve its program Participants and their families through the appropriate, ethical and lawful conduct of its employees and contracted community providers and preserve their rights and the rights of State employees. A process to conduct investigations arising from serious occurrence reports has been established to ensure, open, fair, impartial and timely investigations. This course will provide you with information on how this is accomplished.

Upon completing this course you will be able to:
1. Understand the investigation process and it's importance to Division performance improvement.
2. Know your role in the investigation process.
3. Know how to conduct an investigation.
4. Know the timelines for reporting and follow up.
Requirements: This training is required for all new ADSD workforce members who are classified as supervisors, managers and senior staff. This training is due within 30 days of hire and required once for current employees or more frequently as directed for any employee.
