Course Overview
The Division has the responsibility to ensure that information obtained for each individual who has made application for services or is a Participant receiving services is kept confidential, only disclosed under certain circumstances and staff practice is consistent with all applicable Division, program, state and federal privacy laws and policy. This course provides guidance to staff on confidentiality of information and its release to other entities.

Upon completing this course you will be able to:
1. Explain the different definitions related to confidentiality and their applicability
2. Describe Participants right to privacy
3. Explain the Division's goal to assure Participants on our use of confidential information
4. Recognize your role in protecting against improper disclosure
5. Understand the meaning of "YEGO" while examining several statutory requirements
Requirements: This training is required for all new ADSD workforce members within 30 days of hire and as directed thereafter for all employees.
