This course discusses the differences between a mental illness and a mental health crisis and to will provide information on identifying persons who are mentally ill or persons with developmental disabilities.  It will help you develop procedures on how to effectively communicate with person in a mental health crisis and persons with developmental disabilities.  This course also provides you with information regarding the Legal 200 Process.

Course Requirements: This course is part of the mandatory yearly training requirements per AB478. You must not have previously taken this course for the year, and you must have permission from your supervisor to complete this course.

Minimum Passing Score: 70% on the Final Exam
