New Employee: HIPAA and Confidentiality Awareness Training for DCFS
Course Overview:
The purpose of this course is to provide training of the Division's Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Confidentiality Standards. The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) are committed to ensuring the privacy and security of client information. Therefore, it is a requirement for all DCFS State employees, contractors, temporary workers, students, interns, volunteers, and other workforce members to receive this training.
Credit Hours:
Not applicable for this course.
Time to Complete:
The completion time will vary between individual employees. On average, the course can be completed in one to two hours.
All screens must be viewed to obtain credit for this course. Follow the instructions at the end of this training to ensure course credit is documented in your individual NEATS State Personnel Record.
