DCFS New Employee: HIPAA Privacy and Confidentiality Awareness Training

Course Overview:

The purpose of this course is to provide training of the Division's Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Confidentiality Standards. The Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) are committed to ensuring the privacy and security of client information. Therefore, it is a requirement for all DCFS State employees, contractors, temporary workers, students, interns, volunteers, and other workforce members to receive this training. 

Credit Hours:

Not applicable for this course.

Time to Complete:

The completion time will vary between individual employees. On average, the course can be completed in less than one hour.

To obtain credit, all screens must be viewed as well as passing the quiz for this course. Follow the instructions at the end of this training to ensure course credit is documented in your individual NEATS State Personnel Record.
