Agency Services Policies & Procedures is an overview of the Controller's Office Agency Services' Policies and Procedures, including check cancellation and reissue procedures, journal vouchers and billing claims, and correcting data entry errors.  This course is available to current State of Nevada employees only.

Course Overview:
Students will learn what an accounts receivable is specific to the completion of the year-end accounts receivable report, how to value their accounts receivables, how to estimate their uncollectible accounts, and how to report their accounts receivable to the State Controller's Office in the year-end accounts receivable report.  This course is available to current State of Nevada employees only.

Controller's Office Orientation Class for New Employee's.

Course Overview:
If your agency receives Federal grant funds and you are responsible for completing or reviewing the Single Audit Reporting Forms (SARFs) which your agency submits, this class addresses that process. This overview of the SARFs and their relationship to the State's Single Audit includes the current fiscal year form and instructions.  This course is available to current State of Nevada employees only.
Note:  This course is applicable to those agencies that are exempt from Single Audit Automation which include:  the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT); Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR); Welfare & Support Services (DWSS); Department of Health Care Financing & Policy (DHCFP) and the Public Utilities Commission (PUC).

The State Accounting Policies & Procedures class covers topics about the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), governmental accounting terminology specific to the State, fiscal year closing time-lines, dual fiscal years, debt collections and accounts receivables, resources available from the Controller's office, useful forms for all State agencies, the Controller's Office Policies and Procedures Manual, Budget Status Reports (BSR), Chart of Accounts general ledger coding, capital assets and inventories, Federal grant reporting, Advantage tables and checklists, journal vouchers and more. Note: This is not an Advantage or DAWN class, although certain items will be viewed in these programs so a basic knowledge of these programs is recommended but not required.  This course is available to current State of Nevada employees only.

Vista Plus is a client server application for online reports and documents. The course is an overview of Vista Plus including how to log in and how to view, search or print reports. The course also includes some troubleshooting tips regarding possible technical problems users may experience and how to correct them as well as information about Bank of America Works.  This course is available to current State of Nevada employees only.
