Civil Rights & Advance Directives Training Description:
This course was designed to provide training on the Division's obligations to uphold and monitor Civil Rights & Advance Directives regulations. It is required training for all Division of Health Care Financing & Policy employees.
Enrollment instructions and the course enrollment key will be provided by the Recipient Civil Rights Officer.
Requirements:
All screens must be viewed to obtain credit for the course. Follow the instructions at the end of the course to receive credit.

Course Overview: The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles is committed to full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 49 CFR Part 21 and 49 CFR Part 303, and related non dicrimination authorities. NV DMV ensures that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, low income, and limited English proficiency (LEP) be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination under any NV DMV program, activity, or service.
The NV DMV is committed to adhering to the requirements detailed in the signed Title VI Program Assurances through the development and implementation of the Title VI Program Compliance Plan.

Brief Description: Title VI is a federal law. It is sixth Title of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 and related statutes and Regulations State:
"No person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, age, sex or disability, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any ADOT program or activity.
Course Requirements: This course is part of the mandatory yearly training. You must not have previously taken this course for the year, and you must have permission from your supervisor to complete this course.
Minimum Passing Score: 70% on the Final Exam
Credit Hours: In-Service Credit
